Consumer price index up 1.93pc

Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has issued the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the second quarter of 2017.
It showed that the consumer price index in the Sultanate increased by 1.93 per cent at the end of the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same quarter of 2016. The bulletin includes three tables: Table 1 on consumer price indices in Oman; Table 2 shows the percentage change in consumer price indices by governorates for commodity groups compared with the same month of the previous year, and Table 3, which deals with the rate of change in consumer prices compared to the same quarter of the previous year. — ONA
