MUSCAT: Oman Automobiles Association on Tuesday launched baby karts, the first of its kind initiative in the Gulf region, for children between 6 and 8 at a ceremony presided over by Tariq bin Sulaiman al Farsi, CEO of Al Raffd Fund. Brigadier Jamal bin Said al Taie, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Automobiles Association, said the initiative aimed at raising awareness of this age group about the importance of traffic safety. “ This initiative, alongside with other initiatives will enhance the traffic safety among children, he said. Loai bin Jaafar al- Bangali, Manager of Muscat Speed Circuit, made a presentation on the circuit specifications and facilities, as well as the specification of the new cars that will be used at the carting circuit. — ONA
