There are also chances of dust rising wind over the desert and open areas, said Oman Meteorology on Monday.

Speaking to the Observer, an official said dust storm and low horizontal visibility on most of the governorates of the Sultanate due to the active northwest wind movement (15-30 knots) will continue until Wednesday. "The intensity of the wind will be less on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to be between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius in the coastal areas and in the single digits near mountains."

On Sunday, the lowest temperatures in celsius in some of the prominent places were recorded in Saiq (1.7), Nizwa (8), while the highest temperatures were in Salalah (30.8), Salalah (29.4).

ROP has urged the users of the coastal road from Al Ashkhara via Qahid to Ras al Ruwais to exercise caution due to the presence of sand dunes on the road, and coordination has been initiated with the relevant authorities to deal with the situation.
