Civil Service Ministry reviews Quality management system

MUSCAT: The Quality Board of the Ministry of Civil Service held a meeting on Wednesday to review the quality management system under the chairmanship of Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.


The meeting aims to monitor the performance of the organisational divisions in the ministry, in order to stand on development aspects necessary to achieve the requirements of the quality management system adhered by the ministry.


At the beginning of the meeting, the minister praised the role played by all divisions in the ministry to develop the quality of the services provided to the beneficiaries.


Al Marhoon addressed the most important developmental aspects that can be established in the ministry in order to increase the effectiveness of performance quality and services improvement.


The minister reviewed the efforts exerted by the ministry’s staff in all its divisions during 2017, which had a significant impact on the completion of quality management system requirements.


The meeting introduced a set of recommendations and opportunities for improving QMS applications, including the development of an automated system to survey the views of the ministry’s services beneficiaries, and rehabilitate a number of cadres as trainees accredited in various fields of work.


Meanwhile, this system will enable the ministry to be a specialist and a reference house for government units through the provision of high quality services in the areas of administrative and civil service development.


The meeting was attended by Salim bin Musallam al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry for Civil Service Affairs, Dr Hammad


bin Hamad al Ghafri, Adviser to the Ministry of Civil Service, general directors and ministry’s officials.
