MUSCAT: The Main Committee for the 2nd CISM World Football Cup 2017, on Thursday held a meeting at the headquarters of the Secretariat of the tournament at Hormuz Grand Hotel Muscat, headed by Air Commodore Maktoum bin Salim al Mazroui, Assistant Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces for Training and Joint Exercises, Chairman of the Committee.
The meeting discussed the arrangements and plans for the semifinal matches to be held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. The first match will be held between our military team and Egypt’s military team, and the second match between Qatar and Syria military teams.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the closing ceremony of the tournament which will be held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports complex on January 28.
The closing ceremony will include the final match, handing over of trophies, in addition to the individual prizes like best player, best goalkeeper, top scorer, best team and the first three teams. — ONA
