MUSCAT, Oct 2 - As a gesture of providing comfort to the sick, children admitted to the Royal Hospital were recently given gifts by members of Volkswagen Owners Club Oman.

A total of 30 children were gifted with electronic tablets to keep them relaxed and entertained during their time at the hospital.

“I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Volkswagen Oman for their support in this endeavour,” said Muntaser al Barwani, a member of Volkswagen Owners Club Oman.

Held in collaboration with Wattayah Motors, the event saw members of Volkswagen Owners Club Oman gathering at the hospital and spending time with the sick children.

“At Volkswagen Oman, we work towards getting closer to the communities in which we operate. We also believe that sometimes it’s the simplest of things that can make a profound difference and that was the focus of our collaboration with the Owners Club for this visit and the gifts — nothing more than to put a smile on the faces of children who are having a difficult time,” said David Ryan, General Manager of Volkswagen Oman.
