Careem launches app-based taxi service in Oman

Muscat: Careem, leading ride-hailing app in the Middle East and North Africa, launched its services in Oman today.
The company has signed an agreement under which Marhaba taxi, one of the two licensed taxi companies, will be now available through Careem platform.

The service will be priced in line with general Marhaba Taxi rates – fares will start at Ro1.25,” the company said.

Fare structures will remain same, but the company plans to launch add-ons like food and parcel deliveries.
The service will be available across Oman on-demand across the capital initially.
