Hazy weather is currently being experienced in the desert areas. The prevailing north westerly wind saw a drop of two to three degrees in the temperature in the desert areas and generally cooler temperatures in other parts of the country. Buraimi, ibri and Yanqul experienced the cold wave.




According to the weather report from Oman Meteorology of Public Authority for Civil Aviation, sea conditions are expected to be from moderate to rough along most of the coasts with wave height ranging from 2.0 to 3.0 meters. Low level clouds have been experienced in the coastal areas but the weather expert at Met Office said there is only a slight chance for rain. 




The weather report also indicates clear to partly cloudy skies along Arabian Sea coasts and clear skies over rest of the Sultanates with dust rising wind in desert and open areas.




Muscat Governorate has been experiencing low level clouds. According to the Met Office report, there are chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog formations along parts of the coastal areas of Oman Sea and Al Dahirah governorate.




The Met Office has also cautioned on reduced horizontal visibility at the expected fog formations sites and during dust rising wind.  It has issued an advisory on dust and sand storm in Adma, Ibra, fahud, Bahla, Mudhebi, Duqm, Ibri, Sunaynah, Nizwa, Haima, Qarn Alam, Zamaim, Buraimi.




Places that are experiencing temperatures less than 10 degree Celsius at night are Jabal Shams – 2 degrees Celsius, Saiq 5 degree Celsius, Fahud and Yanqul 8 degree Celsius, Ibri and Buraimi 9 degree Celsius and Adam 10 degree Celsius.




Tomorrow mainly clear skies are expected over most of the Sultanate with chances of dust advection over Oman Sea coast and dust rising wind in desert and open areas. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog formations along parts of the coastal areas of Arabian Sea.
