BSM celebrates Bangla New Year 1424

MUSCAT: Bangladesh School Muscat (BSM) celebrated Bangla New Year 1424 at the school premises. Bangladeshi expats from different places all over the Sultanate gathered at BSM to rejoice the colourful and traditional Banglalee festival. A highly rich and appealing conventional cultural extravaganza enriched the colour of the grand celebration.


Apart from about ten thousand Bangladeshi expats, expats from other nationalities also gathered at BSM to enjoy the lively celebration of the festival at BSM. The traditional Boishakhi Mela, participated by many national and multinational companies enriched the attraction of the celebration.


Sikander Ali, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman, graced the carnival as the Chief Guest.


After inaugurating the festival, he wished everyone a very cheerful Bangla New Year. He inspired everybody to represent very rich Bangladeshi culture and heritage abroad by celebrating all the traditional festival, especially Pohela Boishakh with best possible merriment.


“We are festive and joyous nation, this is our brand image. We have lots of festivals all the year round but Pohela Boishakh is the symbol of the unity of Bangalees. On this occasion, the Bangaless all over the world gather to showcase the uniqueness of the most spontaneous and vibrant celebration of the greatest Bangalee festival.” said the ambassador.
