DIAM: The Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) said that it is currently studying tenders for boosting water resources in Musandam Governorate. Among those is a tender for setting up a station in the Wilayat of Khasab with a daily capacity of 41,000 cubic metres in phases 1 and 2. The construction of phase 1 is expected to start in 2020 and finish in 2025. Diam has prepared a tender for establishing a ground water desalination plant in the Wilayat of Mad’ha with a view of enhancing potable water resources. The plant’s capacity is expected to reach 1,000 cubic metres per day by 2020. This is in addition to expanding the desalination plants of Daba and Bukha to 1,000 cubic metres per day.
