Boost to bilateral ties with Jordan

MUSCAT: The Omani delegation of the Omani-Jordanian Friendship Committee from the State Council headed by Mohammed bin Hamed al Masruri, Head of the Committee, arrived in Jordan, on Sunday for an official five-day visit. The delegation was received on arrival at Queen Alia International Airport by Nayef Al Hadeed, Chairman of the Omani-Jordanian Friendship Committee; Ghazi Al Tayeb, Member of the Committee; and Khamis bin Mohammed al Farsi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Jordan. Mohammed bin Hamed al Masruri said in a statement that the visit aims to consolidate relations and enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially in parliamentary relations.


Jordan is seeking to open new horizons for bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries, thus contributing to deepening the existing ties between them. In a similar statement, Nayef Al Hadeed hailed the deep historical ties between the Sultanate and Jordan, and praised the role of the Committee in strengthening cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields. He highlighted the importance of mutual visits in creating and opening new avenues of bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of the two countries. The itinerary of the visit includes meetings with a number of officials, a session of talks between the two sides as well as a visit to historical and civilisation landmarks in Jordan.
