Bank Sohar honoured for its CSR activities

MUSCAT: In recognition of its continued support of various non-government organisations (NGOs) across the country, Bank Sohar was recently honoured and presented with a token of appreciation by the Ministry of Social Development. The honouring event was held in commemoration of the International Disabled Day and took place on December 13 at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation at Muscat under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat.


Representing Bank Sohar at the event and receiving the token on its behalf was Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, Sr AGM and Head of Marketing and Customer Experience.


Commenting on being honoured by the Ministry, Munira Abdulnabi Macki, GM of HR and Corporate Support at Bank Sohar said, “Corporate social responsibility and working towards the betterment of the communities in which we operate has always been at the heart of our corporate philosophy. Through our various donations, contributions, and support offered to NGOs across the country, we hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it. Furthermore, through our actions we wish to serve as an inspiration to other private sector organisations, highlighting the responsibility that we have towards the community, irrespective of size. This prestigious honour we have received will serve to reinforce our determination to continue striving for excellence in each and every one of our initiatives that constitute our Corporate Social Responsibility programme.”


Over the past nine years Bank Sohar has made significant contributions towards community development across the Sultanate as well as several other causes across various fields; always placing great importance on the development of the society.
