Bank Muscat football championship set for exciting final tomorrow

MUSCAT: The Bank Muscat football championship, which kicked off on November 11 with the participation of 20 teams at Mina Al Fahal football field, is all set to witness an exciting finals between Orpic and Nujoom Oman on January 2.


Building up the tempo, the first match of the day between Al Muheet and Nujoom Mudhaibi teams, starting at 6 pm will decide the third and fourth place winners of the tournament. This will be followed by a friendly match between Oman Deaf Sports Team and Social Media Influencers, including some national team players.


Saleh al Maaini, AGM – Interior Region Branches, will represent the bank in the concluding ceremony of the tournament and present the championship trophy and other prizes to winners. Spicing up the event, Bank Muscat Shababi youth segment will conduct a spot prize draw for spectators in which the winner will receive an iPhone X.


The Bank Muscat football championship, offering a total prize money of RO 8600, evoked big response with the games attracting large turnout of football fans supporting their teams. The participating teams displayed true professionalism and the matches turned out to be a big attraction as some well-known players participated in the tournament.


The football championship came in line with the bank’s vision ‘To serve you better, everyday’ and commitment to partnership in supporting youth and local football teams.


The prize money of RO 8600 will be presented to the top three teams and other special prizes and awards for the Best team in the championship, Best player, Best goalkeeper, Best scorer and Best team manager.
