MUSCAT: Bangladesh School Muscat (BSM) organised the Annual Science Fair and Exhibition-2017. Students and teachers of all 12 departments of the school participated in the exhibition. Different innovative ideas and inventions of the students were presented by the concern departments.
SK Sekander Ali, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Sultanate of Oman inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest.
Sabina Akter Majumder, Chairperson, Board of Directors of Bangladesh Schools in the Sultanate along with other members of the board also witnessed the exhibition.
Under the auspices of Principal Lt Col Mahmud Ul Alam (Retd) PhD and supervision of Director of Education Affairs Major Nasir Uddin Ahmed (Retd) PhD, teachers and students of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, ICT, Social Science, Economics, Accounting, Business Studies, Bangla, Arabic, English, and Art Department took part in the exhibition.
Replicas of Shaheed Minar (martyrs’ monument), photographs of the language martyrs and Bengali literary personalities were the highlights of the Bangla stall. English department displayed posters with quotes on language in various calligraphic styles.
Arabic and Islamic Studies Department displayed photographs of the personal items of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Arabic calligraphy, posters, booklets and prayer beads were also on the display.
Models of windmills, generators, space ship etc displayed at the Physics stall were the surprises of science fair. The chemistry stall had models of chemical compounds, and an innovative solution for acid, alkali analysis, Chemistry on earth, Chemistry in daily life.
Biology Department showed various biological models. Students of the department also showed different vital organs of human body and their functions.
Social Science Department showed Farm House, Atmosphere, models of Water Cycle, Earth Formation.
