Muscat : Following reports in the social media about the presence of salmonella samples in its chicken products in Qatar,  A'Saffa Foods said in a statement to Muscat Securities Market (MSM) said that it follows all rules as per ISO-HACCP standards in its farms.

"As per our laboratory analysis along with the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in Oman, all samples were found negative," the company said.

The statement read like this:

"This is about what is being circulated in social media, regarding a sample of A'Saffa Foods chicken, taken from an outlet in the 'State of Qatar' having tested positive for Salmonella. In the light of company's compliance with globally accredited health practices and standards, biosecurity measures and procedures as per HACCP and ISO guidelines, we are currently investigating the matter - the circumstances in which these samples were taken, their examination, and the correctness of the procedures followed."
