Charity concert for children with disability

When they perform, what they can promise is an innovative presentation of old classics and new age songs. And they hope that their kind of music will appeal to diverse audience and music enthusiasts.

But more than entertaining, Trinity — a band composed of high school students from Muscat would like to make sure that the reason why they are performing will not be forgotten.

“Trinity Live in Concert” will be conducted at the Grand Hall of Al Falaj Hotel on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

The concert is part of the initiative by Charisma LLC who created the “Art to Heart Charity Programme” which aimed to raise awareness and funds for the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability.

Set up in May 2000, the association offers comprehensive rehabilitative, social, psychological and therapeutic programmes for children with disability from birth to six (6) years.

The programmes aim to prevent or minimise the impact of risk factors on a child’s disability and general well-being, thus helping children to develop to their maximum potential.

The multi-disciplinary team at the association provides yeoman service to such children and their families through education, counselling, special assessment and evaluation of children’s needs, therapy, awareness campaigns, support groups and staff training.

A shared passion for music of all genres and a strong classical music background inspired three high school students from Muscat, multi- talented singer Kiran, Muscat Youth Icon Nishant along with creative piano and keyboard composer-player Suhas, to form Trinity. They launched their band via You Tube in February 2016.

Other members of the team include lead guitarist Anurag, bass guitarist Aravind, drummer/percussionist Santrupth and rhythm guitarist Kuna.

For the charity event on April 15, the band will be joined by melodious singer Saakshi.

Charisma LLC is known for bringing unique cultural and corporate events to Oman such as renowned singer Kavita Krishnamurti, Deepak Rao’s ESP show, Nritya Sangam — a fusion of Indian classical dance, YGM’s Tamil plays to leadership management experts like Robin Sharma, Peter Burwash, Cathy O ‘Dowd, Carol Talbot, to name a few.
