MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Tuesday received Jean Asselborn, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and his accompanying delegation. The guest conveyed greetings of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg along with best wishes of permanent success to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and the Omani people further progress and prosperity. After Sayyid Fahd welcomed the guest and his accompanying delegation, the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were comprehensively reviewed.


The meeting also reviewed means of enhancing such relations in several fields, in addition to reviewing the current issues and latest developments at the regional and international arenas. On his turn, the Luxembourgian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs stressed the importance of this visit at the level of exchanging views on cementing joint cooperation between the two sides in complement to the positive outcomes resulted from the last visit of Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg to the Sultanate. He also affirmed his country’s appreciation to the wise policy being pursued by the Sultanate in its relations with countries around the world. He also commended outcomes of his meetings with officials.


HH Sayyid Fahd asked the guest to convey greetings and best wishes of His Majesty the Sultan to the leadership in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the friendly Luxembourgian people further growth and welfare.
