MUSCAT: Recognising its efforts in supporting social initiatives, Maisarah Islamic Banking Services was recently honoured for being silver sponsors of the 12th edition of the ‘Rattel Wa Artaqi’ Holy Quran competition.
The competition was held under the auspices of Dr Fuad Jaafar al Sajwani, Minister of Agricultural and Fisheries at Sultan Qaboos University. Representing Maisarah at the event was Mohammed al Mashani, Executive Manager — Retail Business & Channels of Maisarah, who received the token of appreciation. On being honoured, Mohammed al Mashani, Executive Manager — Retail Business & Channels of Maisarah noted, “Sponsoring such events falls within our CSR obligations. At Maisarah, we are keen to participate in activities which help in instilling Islamic values in our youth. We were honoured to be part in this essential Islamic initiative, and we look forward to be part in similar events in the future.”
The Holy Quran competition “Rattel Wa Artaqi’ is an annual event organised by the Board of Parents in Wilayat of Bausher in association with Al Khuwair Basic Education School.
Being an open competition for students from grades 5 to 9, the “Rattel Wa Artaqi” competition this year witnessed numerous participations reaching 6,523 students from a range of 162 public, private and international schools from across the Sultanate.
Students from each of these schools showcased their skills of memorising and reciting several Quran verses.
