KHASAB: A team of Oman Global Logistics (OGL) Group, ‘Asyad’, comprising Abdul Rahman bin Salim al Hatmi, CEO of ‘Asyad’, Mahdi Abdwani, CEO of National Ferries Company and Ahmed bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Mwasalat visited the Governorate of Musandam to review the transport and ports services in a bid to enhance logistic services at the different wilayats of the governorate.
The team met with Sayyid Khalifa bin Al Mirdas bin Ahmed al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, a number of officials at the governorate, the members of Majlis Ash’shura and the municipal council members.
The meeting discussed the challenges facing Musandam residents with relation to maritime and land transport services.
They also discussed means of boosting trade and tourism activity in the governorate.
The team visited Khasab Port and was briefed on the possibility to rehabilitate the port and make it an economic façade in the export and import field.
The team also visited Lima marina and Diba Port to identify the role they can play in enhancing logistic services.
The visit comes within ‘Asyad’ Vision to address the logistic needs of the Sultanate to enhance its economic status and promote the sector. — ONA
