The Royal Oman Police has listed out three simple procedures to apply for an non-sponsored tourist visa. These steps are as follows.
- Visit the ROP website at www.rop.gov.om, fill the form according to travel documents, and attach the required documents for visa.
- Pay the fees by credit card through the globally payment gateway, which is officially recognized by Oman.
- You will receive the email notification of the application.
It may be noted that the Royal Oman Police has amended few provisions under the Foreigners Residency Law to make things easier for foreign travelers coming to Oman on a tourist visa. The Tanfeed labs last year had suggested that Oman should target around 2.7 million international tourists by 2020 from 2.1 million in 2017.
