MSM index declines 7 points

MUSCAT: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) general index 30 on Tuesday lost 7.04 points, comprising a decline by 0.14 per cent to close at 5000.48 points, compared to the last session, which stood at 5007.52 points.


The trading value stood at RO 3,276,129, comprising a rise by 161.1 per cent compared to the last session, which stood at RO 1,254,662.


The report released by MSM pointed out that the market value rose by 0.207 per cent to reach about RO 17.93 billion. The report added that the value of shares bought by non-Omani investors reached RO 547,000, comprising 16.69 per cent. The value of shares sold by non-Omani investors reached RO 802,000 comprising 24.48 per cent. The net non-Omani investment declined by 7.79 per cent to RO 255,000.
