With all types of air travel expected to pick up in the coming months, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) has issued some guidelines to travel and tourism offices.

As uncertainties continue to prevail due to new Covid variants, MHT said, "It has come to our notice that some travel and tourism offices issue air tickets and do not brief travellers on ticket policies such as whether the ticket is valid for refund or exchange and the methods to change the travelling date and cancellation of the ticket, as per the airlines' terms and conditions." the circular said.

MHT urged all travel and tourism offices to notify the travellers and provide them with a stamped invoice and explaining the details of the ticket purchased with its cancellation and return policy in both languages Arabic and English, to protect the passengers’ legal rights and avoid legal liability.
