Covid inpatients in hospitals drop 64%

Muscat: The number of inpatients at various hospitals in Oman has dropped to 786, including 315 in intensive care units, from 1,215, including 444 in ICUs, on July 15.


Only 68 people were admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours.


The recovery rate has improved to 93.8 percent while 18,194 infected people are still sick.


The Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) in Muscat has reported a decline in the bed occupancy rate to 57 percent with 52 inpatients, while the total bed capacity is only 91.


There are 27 patients who require assisted ventilation, 11 on invasive medical ventilation, 15 on non-invasive medical ventilation, and 25 in Covid-19 wards without the need for assisted ventilation.


On July 15, The (SQUH) in Muscat has reported a bed occupancy rate of 90 percent with 82 inpatients, while the total bed capacity is only 91.


There were 40 patients who require assisted ventilation, 16 on invasive medical ventilation, 24 on non-invasive medical ventilation, and 42 in Covid-19 wards without the need for assisted ventilation.
