Muscat: Oman's weather office on Sunday issued a warning for rise in temperatures across Muscat and Al Batinah during the day hours of Sunday and Monday.

“A noticeable rise in the apparent temperature (the actual feeling of temperature as a result of high humidity) during the hours of today and tomorrow on the coasts of Al Batinah and Muscat, which may lead to heat exhaustion and the possibility of heatstroke,” a statement from the weather agency read.

Authorities urged people working outside to exercise caution and keep sufficiently hydrated.
