Ibri is the capital of the northern Al Dhahirah Governorate. A sprawling town with a major highway, linking it to the border town of Buraimi in the northwest and Nizwa in the southeast. it has some sights to keep a visitor busy – including some impressive forts and specifically, al Belaida village, 65 km far from the centre of the willayat.

Al Belaida id known for its palm trees, lush shade trees, the gush of running water, and wadis flowing between the mountains and rocks. Tourist can reach it through the Miqniat-Bilad Al-Shahoum road in Ibri

The village is located among the high mountains, where the picturesque nature, beautiful scenery, greenness, abundance of water, and its lane tell a heritage deeply rooted in history. Its people still maintain the inherent Omani customs.

The village brings together houses that tell of building arts, Omani architecture, and modernity in construction engineering. Many developmental services in the road network, electricity and telephone, water networks have covered the area. It is also visited by many tourists and families because of its unique elements of tourist attractions throughout the year.

The people of the village are still practicing their inherited crafts, which they are proud to share to their generations. These crafts cover all the agriculture and various handicraft industries. During special occasions and like other willayats of Oman, people express their happiness with some Omani folklore songs and dances
