Arab Media Forum hailed for developing journalists’ skills

Salalah: Activities of Arab Media Forum concluded on Wednesday. The three-day forum was organised by the Omani Journalists Association (OJA). The closing ceremony was held under the patronage of Ali bin Khalfan al Jabri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information. In his speech, he pointed out to the importance of the Arab Media Forum in developing the journalists’ skills and abilities. Sadiq al Ruziki, President of the Sudanese Journalists Union (SJU) and Vice-President of the Arab Journalists Union, said in a speech that the forum is considered one of the most successful forums organised by OJA, adding that the Arab journalists have the same concepts. The chief guest then honoured the participants in the training course. The forum aims at providing the opportunity for sharing experiences among participants and stressing the importance of developing skills and abilities of journalists and media professionals in the Arab world, as well as highlighting the tourist, economic and cultural landmarks in the Sultanate. — ONA
