CAIRO: The Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Information took part in the 90th session of the Arab Media Permanent Committee, held at the Arab League HQs’ in Cairo on Monday. The Sultanate’s delegation was led by Ali bin Khalfan al Jabri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information. The committee discussed issues including the role of Arab media in combatting terrorism and the recommendations of the 18th meeting of the permanent experts team on following the role of Arab media in combatting terrorism.
The committee also discussed the events for marking Baghdad as the Capital of Arabia Media 2017-2018. The committee will cover the development of the Palestinian issue, the pivotal and basic issue for the Arab League in order to maintain the Palestinian issue in general and Al Quds issue live in the minds of Arabs and Muslims. The Committee will touch on the media plan for benefiting from social networking in ensuring synergy of all efforts to address illiteracy problem in the Arab world. — ONA
