Annual fertiliser conference from Sept 19

MUSCAT: Gulf Petrochemical and Chemical Association (GPCA) will hold on September 19, Wednesday, the 9th Gulf Fertilisers and Chemicals Conference at the Kempinski Al Mouj Hotel in Muscat under the theme ‘New Limits and Opportunities’. The opening ceremony of the conference will be patronised over by Dr Fuad bin Jaafar al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. The two-day conference highlights the key role of fertilisers in ensuring food security in a rapidly growing population and growing demand for nutrition, promoting regional innovations in agriculture and discussing key trade trends from around the world. The technical sessions will deal with operational efficiency and environmental sustainability, as well as a workshop on customer value management, opportunities and best practices in this important system of industry. — ONA
