Over 1.8 million registered vehicles in Oman

Muscat - The number of registered vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman is 1,776,642 by the end of March 2025
Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that private registrations accounted for 79.2 percent of the total number of vehicles, amounting to 1,407,472.

Commercially registered vehicles accounted for 14.7 percent, with 261,527 vehicles. Rental vehicles accounted for 40,678 vehicles, representing 2.3 percent, and taxis accounted for 28,307 vehicles, representing 1.6 percent.
In terms of weight, the number of vehicles weighing less than 3 tons reached 1,612,032, representing 90.7 percent of the total number of registered vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman.
