MUSCAT: Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible
for Foreign Affairs, received a written message from Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The message was handed over by Jerome Bonnafont, Head of Middle East and North Africa Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs when Alawi received him in his office on Thursday.
The two sides reviewed the existing bilateral relation between the two countries and means of enhancing cooperation in various fields to serve the joint interests within the framework of the growing relations between the two friendly countries. They also touched on several regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Dr Mohammed bin Awadh al Hassan, Acting Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, officials at the Foreign Ministry and Renaud Salins, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Sultanate.
