MUSCAT: Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, received at his office on Wednesday a delegation from the Unesco and specialists at the ministry. The delegation praised the efforts made by the Sultanate in cooperating with various countries of the world to protect environment, enhance awareness and contributing to protecting the Earth against climate changes. The minister gave an overview about the programmes adopted by the ministry to build national capacities. The delegation discussed a number of proposals and initiatives in the field of supporting youths. They also invited the Sultanate to take part in the youth meeting on biodiversity and protection of environment initiatives, scheduled to be held in Italy. — ONA
