Al Oruba, Al Shabab to kick off Omantel League’s second week

Al Oruba will take on Rustaq at Sur Sports Complex while Al Shabab will face off against Majees at the Seeb stadium as the Omantel League gets under way today after a week’s break. Sur will travel to Salalah to play against Al Nasr at Salalah Sports Complex while Sohar and Saham will clash in a northern Batinah derby at Sohar Sports Complex in other matches.


Al Oruba V Rustaq


Al Oruba will be keen to register its second win in the Omantel League after the victory in the opening match against Oman club by 1-0. On the other hand, the new arrival Al Rustaq will look forward to record their first win after they suffered a defeat in the first match against Al Nasr by a 3-0 margin. Al Oruba will play at home with fans support.


Al Shabab V Majees


The former runner up Al Shabab is ready to face Majees on Saturday at Seeb stadium. Al Shabab suffered a loss in the opening round as they crashed to 2-1 defeat to Al Suwaiq while Majees were held to a 1-1 draw by Sohar. Head coach of Al Shabab, Khalid al Alawi, instructed the players to close the chapter of Al Suwaiq match and open a new one with the Majees match.


Al Nasr V Sur


Super cup champions Al Nasr, commenced their opening match at Omantel League by recording a strong start as they trashed new league entrants Al Rustaq with 3-0. Al Nasr players are keen to continue with this path of winning results. On the other hand, Sur is looking to grab the fourth point in the league table as they played out a 1-1 draw with Al Nahdha.


Sohar V Saham


Saham will look to recover from the defeat of the last match as they suffered a 3-1 loss against Dhofar. On the other hand, the HM Cup runner up is looking for the first points as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Majees at the Sohar Sports Complex at the opening round of Omantel League.
