Al Nabhani is member of American Nuclear Society

MUSCAT, May 12 - Professor Khalid al Nabhani has been recently chosen to be a member of the American Nuclear Society (ANS) in the science of isotopes, nuclear radiation and nuclear safety sciences. He is the first Omani member of the American Nuclear Society. ANS is an international and educational organisation as well as a member of the International Council of Nuclear Associations, founded in 1954 and launched historically through the National Academy of Sciences in Washington DC. The society is concerned with the development and promotion of nuclear science and technology for peaceful uses to serve the nuclear community by providing a scientific platform for the scientists, academics, professionals and policy makers to exchange knowledge and latest technology in the fields of nuclear sciences.


The association also includes about 11,000 scientists, engineers, researchers and academics from various fields of nuclear science and technology, education, government and industrial institutions and bodies. “Our association as a member in a prestigious international association such as the American Nuclear Society, among the elite of professionals in the nuclear sciences, is a great honour to me,” Prof al Nabhani said.
