Al Hilal edge oman’s Al Shabab to advance

MUSCAT, Sept 30 - Saudi giants Al Hilal Club sealed their qualification spot to the last 16 round of Arabian Clubs Championship after beating the Sultanate’s representatives Al Shabab, 1-0 in the second leg at Seeb Sports Stadium late on Saturday. Al Hilal’s Omani great Ali al Habsi kept the goal for them as the Saudi Arabian club had ended the first leg match with same result in Riyadh. Al Hilal won by aggregate 2-0. Carlos Edwardo scored the winning goal in the 60th minute. Al Nasr Club from Saudi Arabia also entered the last 16 round as they registered a 4-1 victory over Al Jazeera from the UAE. Al Nasr won by aggregate 6-2 as they won the first leg 2-1. Al Rajaa Club from Morocco reserved slot in the last 16 round after a 1-1 draw against Al Salam Zagrta from Lebanon. Despite that the first leg match ended for Al Salam Zagrta, Moroccan team qualified to the next round of Arabian Clubs Championship.
