MUSCAT, Oct 17 – Samayil Club, in cooperation with Al Din Theatre of Culture and Art, presents Oman by Lukmat Aish comic show at the Kuwait Festival for Arab Youth Theatre 2017.
The show, written by Jamal Saqar and directed by Mohammed Said al Rawahi, won the first prize of best completed show in Youth Creations Competition 2017, and also for best director.
It discusses many issues such as marriage, salaries, high prices, elections and many other topical issues.
“The original text of the show was (Balaleet) written by Jamal. But because we did not use that concept in Oman, we changed a bit to make it suitable to all countries not only Oman.
The show begins with a problem which is the commercial fraud, continued with other problems which occur while the hero of the show tries to fix the first one,” says Mohammed al Rawahi.
The Festival started on Sunday 15th of October, and will continue until 27th October. It is organised to celebrate Kuwait Capital of Arab Youth 2017, where many shows from around Arab world have participated. It contained many shows and a seminar.
