By Sports Reporter — MUSCAT: Ahli Sidab, Seeb and Bausher qualified for the final round of the His Majesty’s Cup hockey tournament from the Muscat Group. From Salalah group, Dhofar and Al Nasr made it to the last round. Ahli Sidab topped Muscat Group with 13 points from 5 matches, Seeb came second with 10 points and Bausher took third spot with 9 points. In Salalah, Dhofar topped group with 13 points from 6 matches, while Al Nasr came close second with 12 points. Salalah finished third with 10 points.
Sohar, fourth in Muscat with 6 points, will take on Salalah in the play-off on December 6. The draw for the six-team final round will be held today at the Oman Hockey Association headquarters at the Oman Olympic Committee building in Al Ghubra. Two international umpires have confirmed their participation for the final round namely Malik Muhammad Haider Rasool and Javed Shaikh. The top four teams from the final round will play in the semifinals and the final is set for December 29.
