Muscat: The Advisory Board of the GCC Supreme Council on Wednesday chose Shaikha Dr Maryam Hussein al Khalifa as Chairperson of the Board in succession of Hamad Abdul Rahman al Madfa.
Held via video conferencing in Muscat, the first meeting of the 24th session discussed decisions of tasking the Advisory Board of the GCC Supreme Council to study three topics pertaining to maximizing the benefit of GCC states from the Silk Road (Belt and Road Initiative), matters related to the GCC human capital and enhancing economic sustainability, in addition to combining efforts of the GCC states to upgrade their rankings within global competitiveness reports.
The Board also reviewed appropriate visions so as to be raised to the GCC Leaders to be approved and referred to the respective committees for implementation.
