By Salim al Hussainy — MUSCAT: Dec. 3: The Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced the completion of 77.6 per cent of the first part of the first phase of Bidbid-Sur road project and 85.1 per cent of the second part of the same stage. Additionally, the Al Multaqa and Al Farfara overpasses and the road linking them have been completed and will be opened to traffic shortly. A total of 93 km of the first phase of Bidbid-Sur carriageway has been completed with three lanes in each direction. The construction company is currently constructing four overpasses at the Nadab township with heights ranging between 30 metres to 90 metres, the ministry has said noting that the first stage involves tough work as the road cuts through high mountains in Nadab township.
