MUSCAT: The Information Technology Authority (ITA), represented by Digital Society Development Division, celebrated recently, at Middle East College, the graduation of trainees from different specialised ICT training programmes in the presence of Dr Salim bin Sultan al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, and ITA officials.  Omar bin Salim al Shanfari, Deputy CEO for Operations at ITA, said: “We are delighted to witness the graduation of these job-seekers who have completed intensive specialised IT training programmes aimed at sharpening their skills to prepare them for the job market.

“These programmes included the training of 46 graduates in mobile apps development who have successfully designed 21 mobile apps serving different business and social purposes, and 12 trainees who were sent abroad to work with leading tech companies to further improve their practical skills as part of IT Rangers Programme as well as celebrating the successful graduation of 24 government employees and job-seekers who have undergone specialised training in various IT fields within Najih Programme. I’m sure that those graduates will be a valuable addition

to any organisation they join,” he added.

“ITA is committed to support the Omani youth and encourage them to innovate and gain knowledge in various ICT fields. To serve this endeavour, ITA has signed a number of strategic partnerships with a number of international and local IT companies such as Microsoft, HCL and Exceed IT Training Services.”
