580 hotel rooms to be added this year

Muscat: The Ministry of Tourism has given a list of nearly 580 hotel rooms that will be added this year, importantly some of them are in the popular destinations outside Muscat and Salalah.


In the capital, Hilton Garden Inn a 3-star hotel project, is expected to open in the second quarter.


Hilton Garden Inn Muscat will feature 232 guest rooms and occupy a prime position in the centre of the city.


Guests will have access to a 24-hour business centre, Wi-Fi and benefit from more than 147 square metres of meeting space.


Food and beverage options at the hotel will include the signature of a 24-hour Pavilion Pantry for sweet treats and savoury snacks.


Among others, a three-star hotel in Falaj Al Qabail, North Al Batinah, with 65 rooms, will be ready by March 2019.


The three-star Razan Hotel, with 43 rooms, will be ready in Falaj Al Qabail by September 2019.


The five-star Jumeirah Muscat Bay, with 206 rooms, is expected to open in the fourth quarter.


The Green Inn will come in Wadi Dhank in Al Dhahirah with four rooms, swimming pools, games stations and will be completed in May.


The three-star Desert Palms will come up in Bidiya, North Al Sharqiyah, with 29 rooms, four chalets, sports track, pool, coffee shop, in March 2019.


The two-star Ibri Modern Hotel, with 31 rooms, will be ready by June 2020.
