MUSCAT: The Iftaa Office, represented by the Islam Promotion and Cultural Exchange Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, said that 55 people of different nationalities embraced Islam during August. In terms of nationalities, the Philippines came first with 20 women, followed by Ugandans 13 women, Indians (2 men and 4 women), Sri Lankans (4 women), Bangladeshis (2 men and a woman), besides 2 men and 7 women from different nationalities.
