MUSCAT: The number of commercial and industrial applications received in the Governorate of South al Batinah amounted to 20,207 during January 1 until December 31, 2016. Hamad bin Salim al Shukaili, Director of Commerce and Industry Department in the Governorate of South al Batinah said that the number of commercial registration applications of all categories reached 5,014, including the new records, renewed records and cancelled ones categorized into individual trader, partnership company, limited partnership, limited liability company and investment companies.
He added that the number of other applications related to commercial registration that are registered under various categories amounted to 15,051. The Director of Commerce and Industry Department in the Governorate of South al Batinah said that the number of industrial applications registered in 2016 amounted to 142 applications. Al Shukaili pointed out that with respect to applications related to intellectual property and trademarks, they stood at 51. — ONA
