5.5 magnitude earthquake hits Southern Iran

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck in southern Iran near the country's sole nuclear power plant on Thursday morning, shaking some of GCC countries, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 0634 GMT, around 100 kilometers (60 miles) east of Bushehr. The Iranian state TV did not report any causalities.
