4th Expo Science Asia 2016 to begin from today

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Education, will organise today, the 4th Expo Science Asia.  The opening ceremony will be held under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Taimour bin Asad al Said, Assistant Secretary General for Communications at the Research Council.
The five-day exhibition seeks to refine scientific and innovative skills of students and youth, recognize efforts of students and supervisors working in the field of innovation, provide the chance for innovative entrepreneurs to meet businessmen for exchange of cooperation and experiences among the participants and involve the Sultanate’s students in innovative projects at such an international scientific event.
More than 500 participants from the Sultanate, in addition to 200 participants from 30 countries will take part at the exhibition. It includes innovations by participants. It also includes a tourist tour that aims at highlighting the Sultanate’s rich history, culture and tourism potentials. It also includes a cultural night by participants to highlight the cultural identity of the countries taking part at the expo. The expo is one of the main platforms held bi-annually for gathering youths and students from the Asian countries and other countries of the world to display their scientific innovations and projects. The expo provides an opportunity for sharing experiences and enhancing skills through several specialized workshops that aim at polishing innovative skills and providing participants with the latest economic developments. — ONA
