445 graduates pass out of A’Sharqiyah varsity

IBRA: A’Sharqiyah University celebrated at its campus in Ibra on Monday the graduation of 445 students of the third batch of academic year 2016-2017 with the diploma and bachelor degrees under the patronage of Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council. Dr Aboud bin Hamad al Sawafi, Vice-Chancellor of A’Sharqiyah University, said: “Since its inception, A’Sharqiyah University has been keen to develop itself in all aspects to be a scientific and cultural centre to serve the Governorates of South and North Al Sharqiyah.


Athari bint Khamis al Dawoodiyah, a graduate, in her speech to the graduates affirmed their pride on the occasion and work to contribute towards building the nation. Dr Al Mantheri distributed graduation certificates to the graduates. The number of graduates in the third batch was 445 graduates, 26 of whom were male graduates and 419 graduates were female graduates from the faculties of Engineering, Applied Sciences and Business Administration, divided into 282 graduates with bachelor degree and 163 graduates with diploma. — ONA
