The Ministry of Trade in Sudan has suspended the exports of sorghum on a temporary basis from February 11, and until the current season's production is confirmed. The message was conveyed by Oman's Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a statement for the businessmen dealing with the product in Oman.

Sorghum is considered to be one of the most important crops in Sudan and is ranked first in terms of importance as food for the vast majority of Sudanese people in terms of the cultivated areas and total production.
