The police in Nizwa cracked down on illegal and unlicensed motorcycles that posed a danger to its driver and road users. The campaign resulted in the seizure of 38 bicycles for violations of traffic rules.
The campaign is part of the efforts exerted by the police to comply with the traffic regulations. The campaign also aims to limit the practice of negative behaviors such as intimidation and disturbing sounds emanating from those bikes, which cause inconvenience to the general comfort of citizens and residents and expose road users to traffic accidents.
