MUSCAT: The Supervisory Committee for Invest Easy Portal headed by Ahmed bin Hassan al Theeb, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and members of the public organisations connected to the system decided to move to the fourth version of the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC) with effect from Sunday.
The decision goes in line with the world’s shift to implement the updated ISIC’s version and the best practices in the field.
The economic activities data at the data bases of the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Muscat Municipality will be updated to version 4 of ISIC.
With this shift, 21 public organisations connected to Invest Easy Portal will be implementing the 4th version of ISIC, which in turn will help in linking these organisations to the commercial and industrial licenses services through Invest Easy Portal. — ONA
