MUSCAT: A map of Tour of Oman routes has been announced by the organisers on Saturday. The event will be held between February 13 and 18.
The peloton will tackle six
stages totalling 914.5 km through the heart of the landscapes of the Sultanate.
The ninth Tour of Oman will be the eighth consecutive edition of the race to feature a summit finish on Al Jabal Al Akhdar, a 5.7-km climb with an average gradient of 10.5 per cent.
Nine of the 18 seven-man teams in this year’s Tour of Oman are World Tour outfits.

1st stage: Nizwa — Sultan Qaboos University, 162.5km
February 14
2nd stage : Sultan Qaboos University — Al Bustan, 167.5 km
February 15
3rd stage : German University of Technology —Wadi Dayqah Dam, 179.5 km
February 16
4th stage : Yiti (Al Sifah) — Ministry of Tourism, 117.5 km
February 17
5th stage : Samayil — Jabal Al Akhdhar (Green Mountain), 152 km
February 18
6th stage : Al Mouj Muscat — Matrah Sea Road, 135.5 km
