Muscat, Jan 13 – Two Asian expatriates died after inhaling smoke at an under-construction building in Al Jabal Al Akhdar. According to sources, the duo was trying to beat the cold by burning coal as the temperature had dipped to 13-14 degrees Celsius. The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) staff rushed to the site on receiving information about a fire in a building. They later learnt the two had died of suffocation as they were burning coal in a room with no ventilation.
